Completing this AE senior thesis project was a challenging, yet rewarding experience.  The amount of knowledge that I learned in doing this project is something you cannot obtain anywhere else.  It gave me the freedom to explore my areas of interest within the mechanical field.  Incorporating the breadth topics with the main depth topic truly showed how well the AE department at Penn State encourages integration between different AE disciplines.  Talking to professionals and conducting independent research throughout this project has allowed me to personally further my knowledge and understanding of this field and will be a valuable stepping stone for transitioning to my professional career as an engineer.
